Pevely, MO (August 23, 2008) Dennis Erb, Jr. of Carpentersville, IL won his second big event this month at I-55 Raceway as he edged out Missouri's Terry Phillips in the UMP/MARS Clash that payed $5,000 to the winner. Erb won the Tri-Track Challenge earlier this month at I-55 Raceway and pocketed $16,000 for that win which included a $10,000 bonus. Erb got the lead from Phillips on lap nine and it appeared he was going to run away with the win, but Phillips, who faded all the way back to fourth at one point, came on strong in the closing laps and actually took the lead from Erb. But Erb fought back on the low side of Phillips to get the lead back and held on for a very close victory at the line. Billy Moyer crossed the line in third behind Phillips and Brian Shirley finish fourth. Jason Feger completed the top five after starting in the fifteenth position.

Pevely, MO (August 16, 2008) Randy Korte of Highland, IL rocketed to another UMP Late Model feature win at I-55 Raceway. Korte paced the field for the entire twenty-five laps. Jeff Johns of Belleville, IL kept the pressure on Korte, especially in the closing laps as the two worked lapped traffic. Johns was able to close right up behind Korte as they worked the lapped cars, but Korte proved too strong and crossed the line just ahead of Johns to earn the victory. Tim Manville finished in the third position with Mark Voigt taking fourth and Bryan Collins fifth.

Pevely, MO (August 2, 2008) Forty UMP DIRTcar/Northern All Star Late Models checked in to compete for the $6,000 to win Tri-Track Challenge event at I-55 Raceway. For two drivers, there was a even bigger incentive, Dennis Erb, Jr. and Ken Schrader were set to receive a $10,000 bonus if either of the two could pull off the victory. Schrader had won the first leg of the Tri-Track Challenge at Paducah Int'l Raceway on May 30th and Dennis Erb, Jr. had won the other Tri-Track Challenge event on June 1st at Macon Speedway. Any driver that could win two out of the three Tri-Track Challenge events would pocket the $10,000 bonus.

Pevely, MO (July 26, 2008) A stellar field of 121 racecars filled the pit area and a grandstands packed full of people enjoyed a spectacular night of racing.

Thirty-two UMP DIRTcar Late Models signed in to compete and they provided the fans with one of the most exciting finishes in recent memory at I-55 Raceway. In the feature event, Michael Kloos jumped out to the early lead from the front row pole starting position. Kloos led the first eleven laps before Mark Voigt slipped by to take over the top spot. Voigt would soon feel the heat from Tim Manville and Billy Faust as the three battled it out at the front of the field. A late caution would fly with just two laps remaining with Voigt still out front while Manville was second and Faust third. On the restart, Manville dove under Voigt going into turn one, but couldn't make the pass. Faust used his momentum on the high side to slip past Manville down the backstretch. Voigt led as they took the white flag and he would go into turn one on the low side while Faust went around the top. Voigt would lead as they exited turn two and headed down the backstretch, but Faust had the momentum from the top side and dove under Voigt going into turn three. Faust would complete the pass and beat Voigt by a car length to the checkered flag. Manville would finish a very close third. Kloos would come home with a fourth place finish. Ed Dixon made a great run through the field as he started eleventh and finished in the fifth spot.
